WHY A GIRAFFE?

We had a feeling you'd ask!

HERE ARE SOME FUN FACTS ABOUT GIRAFFES

AND WHY THEY MAKE THE PERFECT FROLIC MASCOT:

  1. Giraffes are the tallest animals in the world – standing tall above the competition, above the drama, and above the status quo. Tall enough so that others may take notice and draw near to our positivity.

  2. Their scientific name is very en vogue! Giraffa Camelopardalis comes from the ancient Greeks, who believed the giraffe looked like “one who walks quickly, a camel wearing a leopard coat." Shantay, you stay!

  3. Giraffes don’t need much sleep, only between 10 minutes and 2 hours – one of the shortest sleep requirements of any mammal! Sound familiar?

  4. After a duel, it is common for two male giraffes to caress and court each other. While we are bold and determined, we emanate kindness.

  5. A group of giraffes is called a tower. Together, we are towers of justice, solidarity, and joy. Not to be confused with the elitism of an "ivory tower."
